So for anyone that is a Pokemon fan, you better go watch this direct right here, but if you wanna see the highlights read on below~
Pokemon Snap
While I wouldn’t call myself the biggest fan of Pokemon Snap, the new features they’re adding makes me think the game has great potential. From the new light ball item added to sharing photos online and editing them for enhanced quality and… dank memes.
On top of that it looks like there may be a crazy system of online scoring as well as in game scoring to provide multiple play-throughs of obtaining the best possible photos.
Despite this being the least exciting announcement for me at least, I definitely would consider grabbing this game after this direct.
Now for the good stuff.
Diamond and Pearl Remake
Oooooooooh man.
Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh man.
Diamond and Pearl was that game in the series that absolutely blew my mind when it came to Pokemon games. From the online battles, to discovering how much Action Replay could break a game. This game took countless hours of my time growing up.
Seeing this remake definitely fills me with a sense of nostalgia. I’ll probably buy both of them hahahaha…. no seriously.
The graphics look like a faithful rendition and the pokemon sprites look quite cute. I can’t wait to take on Dialga/Palkia again as well as those dastardly Team Galactic goons. For those that missed on this generation of Pokemon, put your bets on playing this if you desire to experience a golden era of this series.
But now… something quite unexpected.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus
If getting the D/P remake wasn’t good enough, Game Freak is working on a new game that takes place in the Sinnoh region. This game however, takes place years before the events of the original game and seems to take on a new approach to the Pokemon games.
Open World??!?!??
From what the footage showed, the characters were running around what appeared to be a large scale world of the Sinnoh region, sneaking in grass, rolling into cover and battling wild Pokemon in what appears to be a more real time feeling of combat.
The footage itself still looks early in development, as they mentioned in the video, but as it comes further along I am very interested to see how the game will turn out including the, excuse the pun, over-arching plot regarding Arceus and its involvement in the Sinnoh region.
Another thing that grabbed my attention was the mention of this game being an Action-RPG… my favorite 🙂
There isn’t much more info at this time, seeing as we won’t even get to play it until next year, but definitely go watch the direct if you want to see it in action for yourself!
Personally the D/P remakes will be more than enough to hold me over until then!
As always,
Brother Ghesh out~
